Last time Josie was down (when we went camping) she filled out an application at Jason's work. Long story short, she got the job!! She start August 10th. I'm so proud of her. She did this on her own and got this job by herself (after they hired her she told them Jason was her BIL). I'm so excited that she has a job. It makes it even more real that she'll be living here in less then 2 weeks. I'm just a tad bit excited...

*My Wmom & I are planning a white water rafting trip next July. It would be a 3 day trip including camping. I know it's a year away but I'm really excited about it

*Life has been so busy (which I really do love) that I have not had a chance to make a baking date with Annie in forever. I'm thinking we NEED a baking date & soon

*I haven't worked on any crafts in FOREVER and that's because I've been reading A LOT. You see my sister Josie kept talking about how awesome these books were and how much she loved them. I was talking to her a couple weeks before we went camping last and she told me she was reading the books again. I told her if she loved them that much then I had to at least read the 1st one. I read the 1st one in 1 day and was hooked. I just finished the last one last night. These aren't my normal kind of books but I'm really glad I gave them a try......oh your wondering what books they were, right? Well, it was the Twilight series (I know, I know, I didn't want to get sucked into the hype either) but I honestly have to say, I really enjoyed the books.

*While in the middle of the first book, I was talking to Josie about it and she was telling me how much she loved Edward (now I knew Twilight was HUGE but I didn't really realize how HUGE it was till after I started reading the books and noticed all the Twilight shit). People are going CRAZY over this stuff. She was telling me how she's seen people that were dressed up like the characters. I told her, "I was pale before it was cool".

My niece Gianna turns 1 on Friday, I just can't believe it! That little girl has had my ♥ since day 1. My dad & Wmom will be out of town on her birthday (&birthday party day) so we celebrated last night at my dads house. We all had lots of fun, ate lots of pizza, ate some very yummy birthday dessert, and shared many laughs. This was 1 of 3 parties Gianna is having =]

My sister Josie quit her job at subway a couple weeks ago, so as my job as the big sister, I encouraged her to bring it camping.......so we could burn it! Of course she loved the idea =] Saturday night after a dozen games of BS and a couple R&C's, we remembered the uniform. She threw her old uniform in the fire and said some stuff (I can't remember, I was dying of laughing) and that shit went up in flames. She had the biggest grin on her face for the rest of the evening. Great times ♥

We had a blast camping. I'm already planning our next trip =] We arrived Friday afternoon. Set up camp, then headed down to swim. We swam for a couple hours then headed back to camp. We lounged around reading and eating snacks till dinner time. After dinner we ate s'mores and played bullshit (the card game) till bedtime. Saturday morning we got up, went swimming for a couple hours, ate lunch, read all afternoon, went swimming again, read some more, ate lots of junk food, went swimming again, ate dinner, ate s'mores, enjoyed rum & cokes, burned Josie's Subway uniform, & played bullshit again. It was the best!! It rained a little Sunday morning but had stopped by the time we all had gotten up. After breakfast we packed up our shit and headed home. I was beat! We unloaded, started some laundry and dishes, then lounged around all afternoon. We couldn't of asked for better weather. It was perfect. I'm gonna see if I can get reservations for the first weekend in August, I can't wait to go again.

Sunday morning I went and picked blueberries with my SIL & her grandparents. We arrived around 7:00-7:15, this is AM people, and there were already a ton of people picking. We parked, got our buckets, and waited to be assigned a row. We got the very last row (which had the biggest and best blueberries) and off we went. All 4 of us picked a bucket each.

Saturday after the BBQ at my parents house we (Jason, Elidah, Christopher, & I) left and headed to watch the fireworks. We found a good spot in the grass and waited. My parents and the kids showed up a little later. About 9:30-10:00 they started the show. It was good, and we all had a great time. Emily, 7/4/09

Celebrating early

I picked Gianna up this afternoon and went to Wa1mart and got some groceries. After we got done shopping we went home. My Wmom called and needed someone to watch the 2 boys (she had an appt already and my dad was working) so she dropped them off. The boys loved being over while Gianna was over and Gianna loved playing with them as well. We all had a fun afternoon.
