Bl00d Blocks

I've been working on a new craft project for a couple weeks now and I finally finished it.  Earlier this year I made Twi.light blocks for my New M00n party (scroll to bottom) and loved how they turned out.  Since the season 5 premier of Dex.ter starts soon I knew I wanted to make Dex.ter blocks next

Blocks have several pictures of Dex.ter by himself, Dex.ter in his kill outfit, the cast (season 1 promo shot), several Dex.ter quotes, and a couple sides with just "blood" on them.  I love love love these blocks.  Thank goodness I love my sister so much because I actually made them for her.  She's gonna freak!!  

Total bummer

Well, we're down to a 1 income household and no I did not kick
my husband out....yep that's right Jason was laid off yesterday.
 Total bummer, but we'll get through it like we always do.

It's been such a craptastic week and it's only Wednesday!! Last Wednesday night I noticed my oldest cat, Vinnie, wasn't eating or drinking & was puking. When I woke up Thursday he still had not eaten so I took him to the vets. 3 hours & $300 later, I'm told that the blood work came back normal and the DR didn't see anything wrong. We took him home and he went right for his food. He seemed fine all weekend, then Monday he's not eating again. I decided I was going to switch his food and see if that would help. I got some new food and ever since he seems to be doing fine. I'm still doing puke patrol and watching him like a hawk but I'm hoping everything is a-ok.

It's been fun

I can't believe it's already September, this
summeryear has flown by!

Early in the summer we took a trip to Spokane. Jason went fishing with his dad and brother and I had lunch with my dear friend Karissa, I went and checked out my sisters new place (CUTE), we swam A LOT, we had friends over for dinner every night (thanks Mom =), we drank our fair share of adult drinks, we visited friends, we shopped, we lounged, we laughed. It was a great trip and a much needed get away.

We celebrated Gianna's 2nd birthday.

My mom and the family came down from Spokane for Gianna's birthday.

We took a day trip to Yakima for my brother Devin's 13th birthday.

We took another trip to Spokane. While my sister Josie and I attended my friend Karissa's baby shower Jason golfed, we again swam A LOT, had friends over for dinner every night (your the best Mom, THANKS), visited friends, and of course shopped. We're planning 1 more trip before the summer ends, I can't wait!

Other then going out of town and working) we've been running through the sprinklers, enjoying Popsicles while sitting outside in the hot sun, eating lots of fresh watermelon, eating LOTS of pico de gallo, baking zucchini bread like crazy, watching tons of movies/shows on Netflix, spending time in my garden and tending the yard, hanging out with friends and family, golfing, fishing, swimming, gaming, having lunch with friends, and crafting.

It's been a great summer, but fall is my favorite and I'm looking forward to it.

Red, White, & Blue

Jason and I went over to my brothers house for the 4th 0f July. We started the day by going to Pi0neer Park and enjoyed some yummy BBQ for lunch. Later in the day we headed over to my brothers house for dinner. I was in charge of dessert. I have been wanting to make this cake ever since I saw it. It was fun and not too hard to make. I loved the simple look of the red and blue circles but I loved the inside even more. I didn't tell anyone at the party about the inside so it was a complete surprise and what a good one it was.

Not just my sister, my best friend

My sister left for Spokane yesterday =[ I'm going to miss her so much, but I'm very thankful for the time I had with her here in WW. I know she's only 3 hours away but I'm gonna miss seeing her face everyday. She's promised me she'll visit often and of course we'll have to make it to Sp0kane more often. I'm so proud of her and even though I'm sad about her moving I'm so happy for her and her future. Love ya sis
