Sorry it's been so long

April 2011, my living room & garage ceiling collapsed.  My landlord's "handy man" took from start to finish 4 months to replace my roof and repair my ceilings.

It's just hair

After I got engaged I decide to grow my hair out (it's always been my thing to have long hair for my wedding) I had long hair already so I kept it trimmed & well kept (I think that's why I'm so obsessed with getting my hair cut every 5 weeks=) and I loved my long hair and I'm so glad I kept it long because I loved my hair on my wedding day. She did an amazing job (my hair is super thick & those curls held all day & night). After the wedding I kept talking about cutting my hair. Finally over a year later I chopped all my hair off. I loved it (for a while), my husband never liked it, then I missed my long hair.... May 26, 2007

My hair grows pretty fast, but I do get it trimmed every 5 weeks and that really does make my hair grow faster and healthier. My hair chic always trips out on how fast my hair grows and I've been going to her for years =]

1 rain puddle at a time

It was raining again today and as I was going into my house after work I stopped for about 2 minutes and thought about rain. I thought about how much I love the smell right before it rains and even the smell after it rains. I thought about how much I love the sound of the rain. I thought about how when I was a kid I loved rain puddles. I thought about when I was a kid how much I loved twirling around in the rain. So I walked over to the mailboxes and I started twirling around with my umbrella and then I jumped in a rain puddle that was in the parking lot. I was laughing, jumping, talking to myself, having a blast. Right then I realized, I don't have to be a kid to enjoy twirling around and jumping in rain puddles. Life may be a lot harder now then it was when I was a kid, but it's also a lot more rewarding now as an adult. If it's raining tomorrow I'm gonna go find me some big rain puddles.

Under the weather

The last couple of days have been spent in my bedroom with several boxes of Kleenex and many decongestion pills. I went to the DR after my sinus problems had not gone away after two weeks. He gave me a prescription and off I went to get my drugs. The drugs have loosened all that pressure but now I have the drainage. My husband was telling me a lot of people at his work are sick and I know several people as well, so I know it's going around.

I'm getting so excited for Halloween. I love trick-or-treaters, and seeing all the costumes. I'm also excited to carve pumpkins.

Jason starts hockey here in a couple weeks. He went to stick night last week and will continue going every Monday. He's really excited for hockey. I wonder if him and my dad will be on the same team? If not it's ok, I like them being on the same team cuz then I can watch both. They kinda want to play against each other, I'm sure it seems more fun that way ♥
