April 2011, my living room & garage ceiling collapsed. My landlord's "handy man" took from start to finish 4 months to replace my roof and repair my ceilings.

Where do I even begin...

20 days ago Jason and I left for Sp0kane. We were going because he had gotten a job. His training was Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and we thought he would be leaving Thursday. Long story short he officially left for the road on Sunday April 10. He'll be out for 4 weeks then home for 4 days. I miss him like crazy! We talk everyday which helps. Sometimes it's for 2.5 mins and sometimes it 18 mins. I love love love every second and I look forward to that call all day ♥
I can't wait to see him!

24 days ago I lost my job. C.R.A.Z.Y.! Things had been so extremely slow and had been for a while. My dad finally talked to us and after all was said and done my brother and I both were laid off. Sad day.

8 days ago I found out that my dad has gotten a new job and will be closing his business. I'm sad that he's closing the shop down but I'm extremely happy that he got such a good job. I also found out that this new job is in Kansas City! I don't even know what to say, I'm so sad that I won't be able to see my family whenever I want. And I will be the first one to say that I defiantly took advantage that my family was 15 mins away yet I NEVER visited them and for that I regret everyday now. I love my family so much and that's why it hurts so much. I wanna be selfish and throw a fit (like it would do any good =) but I know that this is a good thing for them and we all have to take care of our own families in order for our entire family to make it.

I'm not gonna lie, life is hard these days. Some days are better then others and believe me I know the worst has yet to come but I also know that I have the best days still to come.

Catching up...

*We had a great Christmas. Santa was very good to us this year.
*Happy New Year

*My sister Josie came down for New Year's weekend. We had our friends Annie and James over for drinks/games. Of what I remember it was a great night =]

*Unfortunately I got sick the next day with the worst cold I've ever had and 2 ear infections. I was literally in bed for 5 days. I've been on antibiotics for a week now and I'd say I'm about 90% better.

*Jason started school on Monday (1/3/11) for his CDL and is loving it. He's most excited to start learning to drive (3-4 weeks). He's been acing all his tests and doing extremely well. I'm so proud of him ♥ He'll be done in March and hopefully be able to get a job soon after.
*Jason and I went over to Tri-Cities and watched my brothers play hockey. I didn't realize how good they are getting. It was fun to watch them play on "big ice".
*I've set a date for the Dex.ter party and have been working on it a lot lately. I'm very excited.
*I LOVE Net.flix and don't know how I lived without it for so long.
*I've been thinking about this years ball00n stampede and I'm pretty excited for it.
*My sister Emily's big dance performance is this Saturday.

Jason: "I wish I had an espresso machine."

SIL: Gets out of her seat and rushes outside. 2 seconds later she's walking in the house with a box. She places the box on the table, Jason and I both notice it's an espresso machine.

Jason: "I wish I had a Lamborghini".

My SIL's brother got this espresso machine and didn't really like it so my SIL was going to take it to G00dwill the next morning.

We totally scored.

* We (Jason, myself, Justin, Annie, and Gianna) went up to Sp0kane for a Y0GabbaGabbaLive concert. My niece Gianna is a huge fan and had a blast at the concert. My SMom was very excited to see Gianna, and Gianna was excited to see them all. Jason and I visited our friend Cameron and we also went and visited my friend Karissa and her baby. We were also able to visit with Jason's parents and brother. I got to spend time with my sister Josie and do some shopping. It was a jammed packed weekend and I didn't get to do everything I wanted (like always) but still a great weekend.

* We just found out that Jason got approved for a displaced workers grant program and will be starting school January 3rd, 2011 for his CDL license. YAY!!! It's official, my husband will be going to school to be a truck driver. I'm not gonna lie, I'm terrified yet ecstatic at the same time.

* I'm really really really excited for Thanks.giving. I'm having our turkey smoked this year, oh how I love smoked turkey. Here's our menu for the big day.

I've been working on a new craft project for a couple weeks now and I finally finished it. Earlier this year I made Twi.light blocks for my New M00n party (scroll to bottom) and loved how they turned out. Since the season 5 premier of Dex.ter starts soon I knew I wanted to make Dex.ter blocks next

Blocks have several pictures of Dex.ter by himself, Dex.ter in his kill outfit, the cast (season 1 promo shot), several Dex.ter quotes, and a couple sides with just "blood" on them. I love love love these blocks. Thank goodness I love my sister so much because I actually made them for her. She's gonna freak!!

It's been such a craptastic week and it's only Wednesday!! Last Wednesday night I noticed my oldest cat, Vinnie, wasn't eating or drinking & was puking. When I woke up Thursday he still had not eaten so I took him to the vets. 3 hours & $300 later, I'm told that the blood work came back normal and the DR didn't see anything wrong. We took him home and he went right for his food. He seemed fine all weekend, then Monday he's not eating again. I decided I was going to switch his food and see if that would help. I got some new food and ever since he seems to be doing fine. I'm still doing puke patrol and watching him like a hawk but I'm hoping everything is a-ok.

I can't believe it's already September, this ~~summer~~ year has flown by!

Early in the summer we took a trip to Sp0kane. Jason went fishing with his dad & brother, I had lunch with my dear friend Karissa, I went and checked out my sisters new place (CUTE), we swam A LOT, we had friends over for dinner every night (thanks Mom =), we drank our fair share of adult drinks, we visited friends, we shopped, we lounged, we laughed. It was a great trip and a much needed get away.

We celebrated Gianna's 2nd birthday.

My mom and the family came down from Sp0kane for Gianna's birthday.

We took a day trip to Yakima for my brother Devin's 13th birthday.

We took another trip to Sp0kane. While my sister Josie & I attended my friend Karissa's baby shower Jason golfed, we again swam A LOT, had friends over for dinner every night (your the best Mom, THANKS), visited friends, and of course shopped. We're planning 1 more trip before the summer ends, I can't wait.

My sister Josie came down and stayed a couple days with us.

Other then going out of town (& working) we've been running through the sprinklers, enjoying Popsicles while sitting outside in the hot sun, eating lots of fresh watermelon, eating LOTS of pico de gallo, baking zucchini bread like crazy, watching tons of movies/shows on N.etflix, spending time in my garden and tending the yard, hanging out with friends & family, golfing, fishing, swimming, gaming, having lunch with friends, & crafting.

It's been a great summer, but fall is my favorite and I'm looking forward to it.

My garden is rockin big time right now and boy do I love it!

My basil is out-of-control and growing like a mother f'er, it's great. My rosemary and chives are also doing really good. I use those 2 the most, and LOVE having them in my garden. Charlie aka my jalapeno plant is doing wicked awesome. I'm getting about 3 jalapenos every 3-4 days and I love it. We eat lots of pico de gallo, especially in the summer, (to me summer = pico de gallo) and these jalapenos are spicy but oh so good. I can't believe this is my first garden, who knew it was so addicting =]

Jason and I went over to my brothers house for the 4th 0f July. We started the day by going to Pi0neer Park and enjoyed some yummy BBQ for lunch. Later in the day we headed over to my brothers house for dinner. I was in charge of dessert. I have been wanting to make this cake ever since I saw it. It was fun and not too hard to make. I loved the simple look of the red and blue circles but I loved the inside even more. I didn't tell anyone at the party about the inside so it was a complete surprise and what a good one it was.

It's got a lil bit of coffee in it so it's got this yummy flavor,

We went down to Linc0ln City for 4 days last week. It was wonderful. We stayed at a condo with my brother, sister-in-law, & niece. They have some super awesome friends that have a condo on the beach & they were nice enough to let us stay for the weekend. While there we shopped a lot, drank beer, ate lots & lots of yummy food (including the best freshest crab ever, oh man it was sooo good), collected agates, & swam in the ocean (my crazy husband & brother). It was a very nice and relaxing trip.

After I got engaged I decide to grow my hair out (it's always been my thing to have long hair for my wedding) I had long hair already so I kept it trimmed & well kept (I think that's why I'm so obsessed with getting my hair cut every 5 weeks=) and I loved my long hair and I'm so glad I kept it long because I loved my hair on my wedding day. She did an amazing job (my hair is super thick & those curls held all day & night). After the wedding I kept talking about cutting my hair. Finally over a year later I chopped all my hair off. I loved it (for a while), my husband never liked it, then I missed my long hair.... May 26, 2007

My hair grows pretty fast, but I do get it trimmed every 5 weeks and that really does make my hair grow faster and healthier. My hair chic always trips out on how fast my hair grows and I've been going to her for years =]

I threw a New M00n party this Sunday afternoon =]

It was SWEET!!

I've been planning this shindig for several months now and I'm sooo glad I started planning when I did.

The store was having a midnight release with a lil party Friday so my sister, Annie, & I all went down and waited for New M00n =] It was fun. We got some goodies, they were throwing out water bottles (which Josie got one), they had cake & drinks, & the people were great.

We all had a really good time.

I was a good girl and waited to watch the movie but it killed me =]

It got me thinking about hot sauce, and how many different kinds are out there. I honestly use this sauce in almost every dish I make. It's very spicy so be gentle, but it's got a GREAT chili taste. We went back & forth on what to spend it on and finally decided to get a new bedroom TV (with the help of some savings money). We are now the new owners of a 42" LCD HDTV

My dad had a bunch of family in town last weekend so we all headed down to the rink and watched their game. My dad & Justin both scored goals and their team won. We had about 15-18 people (kids included =) and for some it was their first game. I'm glad so many came out, it means a lot to all of us ♥

I really love the book, TPWC, and while flipping through it for the 6th time today (did I mention I just got it this morning) . I found myself thinking about which recipe I was going to make first, second, third, fourth, fith, ect...I decided then I was going to make all 63 recipes What's even better about it all is that I honestly like all the stuff in the book, I love to cook and I'm really excited ♥

I forgot to get pictures once the table got fully stocked (wonder why =), but believe me it was loaded. My SIL brought chicken salad sandwiches, and the roasted red pepper dip was a hit. I personally loved the strawberries dipped in the chocolate ♥

Awww, you all rock {{hugs for everyone}}. It confuses me because I have "friends" who say they want to hang out/get together yet when I invite them over they don't come =[ The party went great, I'll do a post with pictures later. My family came through and really showed just how awesome they are. I'm proud of them. Annie & Jennica thanks sooooo much for coming by and supporting me. & my sister oh my, she was a life saver. Not only did she make rockin cupcakes she kept me calm, saved the chocolate fountain twice, and made several dishes Friday afternoon. Thank you ♥

I guess I should say that I know who my friends are, it's just sad to be in a situation when you feel that your friends aren't there for you. I really wanted to get together and eat some awesome yummy food, drink some yummy drinks, and share some great conversations/stories. I know times are tough and things are hard for everyone and I honestly don't expect everyone to buy something. I love having these parties (hahaha, my mom is laughing =), and it's really a great way to get together & meet new people. I enjoy planning for it, cooking for it, decorating for it, you get the idea......you just gotta have people show up for it to make it all worth it.

My lil sister Emily turned 6 last week. She had her party this last weekend. Of course we went ice skating =] My brother & dad put Gianna on the ice for the first time. She is 1 1/2. It was sooo awesome to see her out there. She didn't know what to do and just dangled her legs but that's ok, it was the most awesomest thing ever ♥ I don't know who was more excited Gianna, my brother, or Grandpa =]

I made these for my SIL Annie for Christmas (I'm thankful too because it was hard giving these babies up but knowing they were going to a good home helped=). I love love love them. I made them just like I made my owls. Once the mod podge was dry then I added my beads, glitter, buttons, ect. She loved them. I have a couple more idea's for people that I'm gonna make. I'm really lovin these little guys ♥

You can't tell by the picture but each layer of "whip" is added individually. Then I added glitter to the edge. Super cute, every one's favorite including my own.

I tried making this one a more "fancy" cupcake with an iced look to it. Then I added little white beads to it.
This one has clear long beads aka sprinkles on it and of course the cherry button.

My sister & I are dorks and since we're soooo obsessed with D3xt3r and all we made some "bl00d splatters" of are own =] Once they are dry we'll spray them with a clear coat and then frame them. I'm so excited, I already love it ♥
